
Karen Hansberger
Karen’s career has spanned every aspect of health care, seeing it through all major perspectives. She built a 5-star Obstetrics and Gynecology practice in Southern California then moved to the hospital and health system environment, where she served as a Chief Medical Officer for the White Memorial Medical Center in East Los Angeles, serving an inner-city population. Finally moving to the insurer perspective, serving as the Chief Medical Officer at the Inner Empire Health Plan, the second largest Medicaid health plan in California serving the Inland Empire.
Serving the underserved in our communities, improving access to quality healthcare, and addressing the social determinants of health are her passions which have been a rich part of every aspect of her career. Collaboration across sectors is a hallmark of her leadership.

Karen received her medical degree from Loma Linda University and is a Board-Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist. She has served as an elected official in local government and has served on state and local boards.
