Margaret Van Vliet

Margaret brings expertise in housing and homeless services policy, program development, budget, finance, and innovation to the Nexus team. She is an accomplished affordable housing executive with roots in commercial banking and significant performance improvement achievements in state and local government. 

Margaret's three decades in public sector leadership included five years as director of Oregon's Housing and Community Services Department, as well as top city, county, and housing authority posts in both Oregon and California. Margaret excels at coaching teams through change, and is equally adept at working with elected officials, administrators, line staff, and the general public.

Since leaving public service Margaret has consulted with governments, non-profits, and foundations on the west coast. She is also the owner of Trillium Advisors.
